Host agreement
Version 2026-04. Every event host accepts this agreement before staging an event. We record your acceptance timestamp in the audit log.
This agreement is between you (the Host) and Sin the Bottle (the Platform). By clicking Accept in the admin interface, you agree to the following for every event you run using the Platform.
1. You are the event organiser
You are the organiser of any event you stage using this admin site. The Platform provides software that helps you vet applicants, pair consenting attendees, and run the session. It does not organise your event, host it, or attend it. Decisions about the venue, attendees, activities, and enforcement are yours.
2. Venue and permissions
- You represent that you have the right to use the venue for the event (owned, leased, or with the permission of whoever has that right).
- You are responsible for complying with venue rules, local noise laws, fire safety, and any licensing requirements (including liquor licensing if alcohol is served).
- You will not hold the event in a place where an underage person is present or likely to be present.
3. Age and admission
- You will check photo ID at the door for any attendee who appears to be under 25 years of age. No ID, no entry.
- You will refuse entry to any person who cannot show they are 18 or older, and to any person already on the ban list.
- You will not admit anyone who is visibly impaired by alcohol or other substances.
4. Code of conduct enforcement
- You will enforce the Sin the Bottle code of conduct at your events.
- Minor breaches get one clear warning. A serious breach (non-consensual contact, photography, coercion, misrepresentation of age) is one-strike removal and a permanent ban.
- You will escalate serious incidents to safety@sinthebottle.com within 72 hours so the ban list stays current across the host community.
5. Consent and safety
- You will monitor the traffic light panel during play and respond to a red within one round.
- You will not override, ignore, or socially pressure anyone away from their expressed limits, including via the app's consent flags.
- You will not use moderator or host access to view or infer specific attendees' consent preferences.
6. Photography, media, and confidentiality
- No photography, video, or audio recording is permitted at the event, by you, your co-hosts, or any attendee.
- You will not post or publish identifying details of attendees from your event.
- Attendee contact information (email, date of birth, application content) in the admin interface is handled confidentially and is not shared outside the moderator team.
7. Insurance (recommended)
The Platform does not provide event insurance. We recommend you hold public liability insurance of at least AUD 20,000,000 for any event open to non-household attendees. Brokers who cover alternative-lifestyle events exist in Australia. Accepting this agreement is not a substitute for insurance, and the Platform makes no warranty about the sufficiency of any cover you hold.
8. Indemnity (from you to the Platform)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify the Platform and its operators against any loss, damage, or claim arising out of your event, including but not limited to: conduct of attendees, venue incidents, breaches of liquor or other licensing, failure to check age, failure to enforce the code of conduct, or any matter within your reasonable control as the event organiser. Nothing in this clause limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Platform warranties
The Platform is provided as-is. The Platform makes no warranty that the consent system, pairing algorithm, or admin tooling will be error-free or uninterrupted. The Platform is not liable to you for loss or damage arising out of event outcomes.
10. Termination and revocation
The Platform may revoke your host access at any time, with or without cause, including if we receive a credible safety report concerning an event you ran. Revocation cancels any staged events you had scheduled; attendees will be notified and any prepaid ticket revenue you hold is yours to refund.
11. Changes to this agreement
We will version this agreement. If we materially update it you will be prompted to re-accept the new version the next time you open the admin interface. You can continue to host on your existing events under the version you accepted at the time; new events require the current version.
12. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes will be brought before the courts of Victoria.
